Oh my warm feet. So I just got into bed and a few minutes before, Bea walked by and said she was going to put this warm heated up thing at the foot of my bed…I of course said alright so I crawled in here and didn't see it, but then noticed it was under my covers and let me just tell you, my feet are nice and toasty and I need to get whatever this is!! haha. Alrighty, sorry, kinda got side tracked but I just had to mention that because it was a very pleasant surprise just now. :) So today, it was a really fun day! Got up and went to the office, started rolling some coins when I remembered that I was going to go to the mall with Emily, Lindsey, and now apparently Angela. So after getting everything in order, finding the trucks and getting my bathing suite we all headed out to one of the biggest shopping malls in north america. Our mission today was the water park inside. (oh, and I need to mention, yes I did drive…yes it was an F550 :) and, I was very impressed with myself that I got that darn thing as well in between the lines as it could be the first time both times I parked it!) So anyway, we got there, Angela had to find a bathing suit, that had to take a minute, got some lunch and it was time in the park the rest of the day. We went in the wave pool and just about every waterside they had there. One thing that they did have that I kinda really wanted to do was a bungie jump. They had a bungie jump there that was like, 106 feet I believe that went right over the water and it looked awesome. I was thinking about doing it until one of the workers I asked said he thought it was 75 dollars to do it, haha. …and this was at the end of the day and I had grown tired so I didn't really have the energy to do it anyway. So the water park was a success! Kinda, minus the fact that Lindsey hurt her foot when some guy spun her tube into a wall. Which, brings me to our next adventure of the night. So, Lindsey could barely walk tonight hobbling through the mall so I told her I could give her a piggy back ride. I start to carry her, peace of cake, she isn't even 100 pounds! I soon realize I am out of shape and we are parked on the opposite side of the mall. (reminder- biggest mall in north america) So after a couple breaks we finally make it to the truck, I can barely feel my arm, haha. So I drive back to the fair, park and Lindsey can't even walk. I told her I would give her a lift this one time ;) but of course her foot hurts even when I am carrying her. So it is piggy pack, then hopping, limping, back to piggy back, and we finally make it to the office! Oh, I forgot to mention that Emily and Angela have stopped to ride the sky scrapper and I was fortunate enough to carry Emily's 5 pounds of books she bought at Chapters, so I have that in my hands while Lindsey is holding my backpack (which, is too heavy for her, haha!) Anyway, it was a memorable day/night definitely…and that isn't even including the story of Lindsey leaving her Miss Mi jeans on her chair at McDonald's. Anywho, I'm sure you will be glad to hear that we will be back tomorrow to shop this time and look around. It is actually a really cool mall from what I was able to see of it today. (After Buni takes Lindsey to the doctor I guess about her foot.) And, as we were leaving I got a call from my dad…I apparently forgot to fill out my FAFSA! I knew I had forgotten to do that. I felt bad that my dad had to end up doing it but, what can you do now. [sorry dad!…and thanks!] So hopefully now I will be able to get a loan. Anyway, I don't even know why i'm saying any of this stuff anymore. As anyone that has read this has already noticed i'm sure, so my apologies…because that is basically what the whole post has been so far. OH, new Rizzoli and Isles was on tonight! I'm gonna have to google that sometime this week! (again, sorry, I might have ADD) OK, i'm done now. I'm sure there will be more stories for tomorrow night (Oh I can tell you are already excited, haha ;) Until then…

Sunday July 17, 2011
Well well well…I am not writing Sunday's update on monday morning the 18th at 7:52am since this is the first time I am getting back to my bed! Since I pulled an all nighter I can't even really remember yesterday!! haha. The crowd actually wasn't too big so it was a pretty ease day. I am trying to think of what all happened and I can't believe that was only yesterday, haha. So we did the same old same old then around…well, I don't even know the time, around 11:15, made a pre-closing pick-up and from then on it was end of the fair/closingteardown madness, haha. so we figured everything out in the office, got everyone's pay ready, got the office packed up and ready for another move payed people and handed out draws, and next thing I know it it is 6:30 in the morning. I was actually never really tired the whole time…even on my walk back. And I figured I might watch The Princess Bride since i'm sure most people would be sleeping, but now that I am laying here I am getting a little tired and might even get me some sleep! haha. Well, that being said, I actually think I might la my head down and see what happens. I do have some thoughts on the Stampede, but that will have to wait for another update when i'm not so tired. (wait, didn't I just say I wasn't tired? haha…uh oh, the time s quickly catching up on me.) Okie doe, until next time...

Saturday Jul 16, 2011
Oh boy what a day! It couldn't have started off any better. Well, I first went to the office just to see how things were looking then went over to Buni's where I made chocolate chip pancakes!! They. Were. Delicious. Went back to the office to start rolling quarters when Emily, Lindsey, and Angela came to steal me away for a few minutes to go ride the skyscraper! It is one of the big rides you normally have to pay $40 a person for but, they (and I) ride it for free after befriending the people that run it, haha. So anyway, that was really fun! And, we also go the video of Lindsey and I on it for giving the guy a stuffed minion, haha! So after eating a delicious breakfast and having a little fun on a ride, it was back to rolling quarters until it was time to start my pick-ups at 1:30. …continuing every 2 hours and counting in between. Being as it was the last Saturday of Calgary, it was pretty busy. And if you might be wondering about the concert that was tonight that I mentioned earlier…well, the woman that got the tickets had another person I guess at the last minute that wanted one so, mine was the ticket that was used, haha. Although I'm sure it would have been an exciting show, i'm not heart broken over the fact I didn't go, it was a good thing since it did get busy tonight! Wouldn't want to just leave Buni high and dry (although it did start to hail tonight for a little bit! which was exciting) Hmm, what else was I going to mention? There was something but, probably not important…it is after all already 3:30 so, I should probably hit the hay so I am all rested and ready for the big last day tomorrow! (I'm sure i'm/we're in for a long night!) Well, I guess I can add one more thing before signing out…I just have to say that I pretty much love some people here. For example, a group of us rode back on the golf cart (I was up front talking with Lynn (who works the baskets) and he got probably his highest numbers ever today! but anyway, that is besides the point) So we get back and where everyone normally is sitting with the lawn chairs is Steve singing "All by myself" hahaha. He cracks me up. Anyway, point being, I enjoy my company out here. Everyone is really nice and really funny. It makes for long hours/nights more enjoyable. Like the other night in the office Buni and I were listening to music while counting the money…it was billy currington: "I wasn't born for diggin big holes, I wasn't built for paving long roads, I ain't cut out to clime high line poles but, i'm pretty good at drunken beer." And then here comes Buni: "heeey, me too!" hahaha. I just started cracking up. Anyway, it's always a good time in spit of the tiredness one might feel. So with that, I bid you a-due. Until tomorrow night (…or technically morning, haha)

Friday July 15, 2011
Ok, first things first: I really like Randy. He is adorable. He is one of the guys in charge of the long and short range and is just so dang cute…his attitude and everything, haha. Ok, now that that is out of the way, today was a really good day! I got to have extra help for a couple of my pick-ups today! Emily and Lindsey came in the office after school for my third pick-up I believe and helped count. Emily was in a hurry to get out of there but Lindsey stayed and chilled and helped me with a couple more pick-ups, it was helpful. I've really enjoyed getting to know Emily and Lindsey so far this summer. It's funny because before we left I remember talked to hannah when I said I was flying up with them and she said it would be a quiet plain ride and everyone thinks they are so quiet but I just started cracking up in Banff while Emily and Lindsey were like, screaming walking around because they are totally not quiet, haha. …but just normal 14 year olds I guess. So anyway, after Emily bailed after the first pickup Lindsey and I worked a little more then went back to the trailer to get some of Buni's chili she made…award winning might I add! and it was delicious. We also established that we will need to see Harry Potter asap….and also that I am going to go on this one ride called the sky scrapper with them tomorrow as soon as the carnival opens (be sure to check out my picture on Facebook I will have to take tomorrow and upload, because it is a pretty cool ride apparently, going 70 mph! haha) Well, an update on the Sugarland, I actually never made my way to the Sadledome so I was not able to stalk them unfortunately. oh well, better luck next time I guess, haha. Another exciting thing about today was when I got back form somewhere Buni was Skyping with Elijah, Wyette, CJ, and Ashley which was cute. I enjoyed being able to say hi. Those two boys are just dang cute. Anyway, hmm, I had something else I was going to add but I think i've already forgotten. Well, another thing about Emily and Lindsey, I had them and Angela (their friend) watching video's of thomas and they think he is a good singer…their favorite is when he sings Washed By The Water and i thought I had it on my laptop but, I need to dig it up somewhere cause I can't seem to find it! Alrighty well, I can't seem to remember what I was going to add so, I guess I will just leave it at that…seeing as it is already 3:30. We didn't close till like, 1 today cause it got reeally busy later tonight! I can't believe we only have 2 more days!! I've really enjoyed Calgary amidst the craziness and sore feet! …although I must say I probably won't miss counting the tickets at our other spots! haha. Ok, ok, I know I said I was done. I'm sure there will be more stories for tomorrow night, it should be a busy day being the last Saturday and all. Until then...
UPDATE:
Just so there is no confusion or misunderstanding, Randy is a grandpa...just thought I should throw that out there upon second thought, haha.

Day 8 of the Calgary Stampede has officially come to a close. Not to much exciting news to share. Collected aprons, counted money, counted tickets, repeat, give out draws. You get the picture. Anyway, I did however, get the chance to see Kevin Cosner (however you spell his last name). His band (yes, he sings now, haha) were performing at the Coca-Cola Stage. And no offense to Kevin, but he should stick to acting, haha. But speaking of concerts, I am pretty sure Sugarland is going to be here tomorrow. I am going to have to try to explore around the Saddledome to find the tour buses and stalk them! haha. juuust kidding. (or am I ;). just kidding) I normally would be going crazy to know that Sugarland would be performing just a few minutes away from me and me not being there but, I have already seen their 'Incredible Machine' tour…and them in concert like, 4 times so, I don't really care. But, since we are speaking about concerts still, Katy Perry will be here on Saturday night and if I heard correctly I think I might be being a chaperone for the girls and their friends for that one, haha. I'm sure that would be an exciting concert…I don't even know if i've even ever been to a pop concert…but I do now how Katy Perry likes to be theatrical, haha. Well, I will keep you posted on if this is true that I am going. …but to be honest, I hope I do go because it sounds like it would be fun! I like myself a Katy Perry tune or two. (and yes I know this would be a very unpopular opinion for almost everyone else I know other than like, teenage girls but, oh well, I don't care! haha) And since we are speaking of singers…oh shoot, while I was typing that, my next artist of subject just came up on iTunes! Got any guesses?! You are correct, Missy Higgins! ;) Anyway, onto the point, she tweeted me again today!! well…of course her being my bff and all ;) But I had asked her about doing a commentary like she did for her last album and if she would be doing that for her next album and she gave her reply. Anyway, I always love it when I get a reply from my good pal Missy. Soooo, now that I have bored just about everyone, haha. I don't really know what else to add! Hmm, what is on the agenda for tomorrow? Well, tomorrow would be Friday which means it is a weekend (kinda) so we will probably be more busy than usual for the last couple days of the fair…I mean, we are only down to 3 days left!! Then it is off to Edmonton (which, by the way, they have one of the biggest malls in the world with a theme park and a water park, haha…which, I will be visiting. But more on that at a later point in time.) Again, inflicting my readers with boredom. …hahaha, readers, I crack myself up sometimes. Anyway, I still have pictures on my camera that I haven't uploaded since before ice cream day so I will get on that tonight before hitting the hay so keep your eye out on Facebook for those to be uploaded soon! And with that, that's all from me (and I know what you are thinking: thank goodness, this entry was all over the place…much like every update actually, how did this girl get into Belmont?! I ask myself that a lot, haha.) I'm really done now. Until tomorrow night…

Wednesday July 14, 2011
Wednesday July 13, 2011…today was kids day so we opened about 2 hours early (although I arrived at the same time, haha) But it was pouring when I was walking to the office so, we started out well day well. Let me just tell you, I am not a happy camper with wet socks and shoes, and also having to count an extra color of tickets (we got another ticket added into the mix today (along with our 2 already) but a little way into counting those we decided we weren't going to count them and just divide them up equally or something. So anyway, luckily the sun came out and made for a pretty nice day. Nothing else too exciting. I was able to watch the new Pretty Little Liars I had missed on Tuesday night, haha! …it was a purty good one. Oh, but i haven't updated since watching the rest of Rizzoli. The episode was good (as to be excepted) and i'm ever so happy the show is back, it just cracks me up. Anywho, I guess not much more to say…I did get some ice cream tonight and that was good (you know how i love my junk food! haha) …oh, and I also got asked by one of the workers if i would consider going out for coffee with him, haha! Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary…whatever ordinary even is. Well, Piper is trying to sleep so I should probably stop typing. Here's to hoping I have something good to tell you tomorrow night. Until then...

Tuesday July 12, 2011
Okie doke. um, what to say about today. Well, today was another good day! Did some pick-ups, counted some money. I'm sure there was something I wanted to put on here today but, as i sit here with music in the background my mind is completely blank, haha. It was, however, another colder and rainy evening…but it at least held off until around 10:45. I got to see the fireworks tonight and they were really good! Man I love fireworks, haha. Today before the counting began Buni and I went to go find lunch and on our way we went through this one part with different little shops kinda and there was this ice cream place that had some pretty crazy ice cream flavors…two that stuck out being mini donuts and beer, haha. Later on in the day we were going to go back…and did, but the line was out the door and down the lawn! haha. So Lindsey and I got snow cones instead (which, by the way, they had chocolate flavor, which I found very interesting, haha) Anyway, not to much more exciting going on…exept for Rizzoli and Icles coming back last night!! So I looked it up online and watched half of it…man I love that show!! Again, I think I mentioned this before but you need to watch it if you have never heard of it. Monday nights on TNT at 10/9C…and again, that is Rizzoli and Isles. Anyway, speaking of the show, I have another half to watch so, I best be going!!! haha. Will keep you posted on any more exciting happenings. Until then...

So who believes these hypnotists and their acts are real? I'm still trying to figure this out. After everything was settled and cleared away in the office this morning Buni and I went to go check out the booths and whatnot in the building. On the way there though, there was this guy on stage doing a little hypnotist act…or whatever you want to call it. We walked up somewhat towards the end I think while the handful of people he brought up on stage were already in their trance. He would just have them sit there, talk to one of them, make a popping noise, touch their head and they were out until he said wake up….and so goes the whole hypnotizing act. I mean, it was pretty funny, but it is just crazy to believe he could just get people to do that by talking to them in their deep sleep (or whatever their trance is called.) I kinda just want someone to try it on my for like, a minute to see if it actually works (or someone i know, haha.) But anyway, we were able to get into the building just before a little shower broke out outside. Just the basic carnival/fair booths in there, some interesting some not. Although today was the day…my cookie stand was in there and I got me some cookies! They were darn good too! Still hot and everything, mmm, mmm. Today was also the first time I had finally tried poutine. (or however you spell it) It is such a big thing up here, they have it at burger king, dairy queen, restaurants, all over the fair. It looked like something I wouldn't enjoy (although I do like gravy and cheese…and everyone knows I love my fries, so i have no idea why I wouldn't think I would like it.) So anyway, we got that too and I actually really enjoyed it! After walking around/browsing for a while, it was back to the office to collect and count aprons the rest of the night. It drizzled again and of course gets cold at night so wasn't so packed a couple hours before closing…which makes for easier/quicker apron counting. Anyway, so now i'm back all clean and relaxed in bed just listening to some Ginny Owens (well, I paused it so i could finish writing this because I wanted to concentrate on this and then be able to sing along (sometimes i'm not so great at multi-tasking, haha) Anyway, i've been listening to a cd of hers since getting back and I almost forgot how much i loved and listened to this cd as a kid. good stuff. good stuff. Alrighty well, I guess that is from me. Other than the fact that my new favorite show returned tonight so I will hopefully be able to catch it online tomorrow!! Rizzoli and Isles, great show!!! If you are reading and have never heard of it or seen it, you should. Season 2 just started on TNT on Monday nights. Ok noooow I guess i'm done, haha. Gotta get back to some of that Ginny Owens! Until tomorrow night...

Sunday July 10, 2011
Well well well, if I was going to update this here blog at say, 5 or 6, i'm sure it would go something like this: "I'm sore. The end." But luckily the night has gotten better and i'm not to tired! (fortunately or unfortunately…and it is now 3:20am, but at least we don't open till 11 tomorrow so, all's good.) But anyway, today was crazy. It was family day and it was packed. We started pick-ups at around 10…a little after I got there and went every hour and half after that up until like…6:45 when I was supposed to go at 6:30 or something but elf off an extra 10 minutes so I had 15 minutes to chill because with these dang tickets we have to count here (let me just pause for a second to say, there are normal ride tickets, normal size, then they have these other tickets that were advance tickets that are half the size of normal tickets, and then they have the calgary stampede dollars…and of course the normal actual money) so needless to say, there is a lot to go through and that hour and a half is full of counting, so there were a few hours there were I maybe never even sat down…my poor little feet and back got a little tired there! (and by a little I mean I thought I was going to die, haha! ;) jk…but not really) Anywho, after having goldfish for lunch because I at first wasn't hungry enough to get anything, I finally felt a second wind come after dinner around 8 or. Funny what a little break and some good food will do for ya!! But, of course, at the same time a big rain was just approaching and that slowed our pace of collecting pick-ups every hour and a half, for which I was grateful. That (and the fact it was a sunday night) thinned out the midway and it was an easy rest of the night (thank goodness.) The bar place here (Nashville North) kept the stock trucks from coming in so after we were closed and done contain I was able to chill in the office for a good long while just lazily scrolling through my sites of Tumblr and StumbleUpon. It was late, but I've got to say, it was nice to just chill and catch up on those sites…it had been a while! Anyway, I also was able to check the weather forecast and apparently the rain is here to stay for tomorrow so…i guess that isn't the best fair weather but, at least we had a good and busy day today! I guess that's all from me, i'm sure if I remember any funny stories or forgot anything wonderful that happened I will document it at some point. Thanks for readin' :) Until tomorrow night...

Saturday July 9, 2011
Ah, finally resting my feet at 2:45. Today was a…busy day, haha. I believe there were a total of 8 rounds of counting the aprons. Starting at I believe the first pick up was at around 1:45 and then every hour and a half I would do another pick-up…with us counting the money between times (most of the time taking the almost all the time to count the previous aprons.) So anyway, needless to say I aaalmost just set up camp in a patch of grass I saw walking back to my bunk because my feet were a just killin' me. Well shoot, i'm just sittin here and they are still killin me! haha. But anyway, my food of the day!! My bff Claude was able to score me a colossal onion (bloomin onion) and it was delish. Apparently they will be arriving every day for the next 2 days, haha! So um, yea, I am 99.9% certain that I have gained weight…oh well, what can I say, I love food. Sooo, tomorrow is family day and we open at 8:30…luckily Buni is a very nice person and told me I don't even have to come until 10! (I guess I will give her a break when I finally arrive) but I expect tomorrow to be a busy day as well. And not only is tomorrow family/pancake day, but it is also my papa's birthday (as well as my middle school bff, Jennah)! So I will have to give him a call. Alright, that's enough from me. i'm beat. But you know I will be keeping you posted on everything food related ;) (although I think I got a little sick after eating half of a fried onion tonight, haha) Until then...

Friday July 8, 2011
Oh my sore feet. Well, just another day here at the carnival. I must say, when Buni and I count the aprons together, we can get those things done fairly quickly! Today I did 2 pick-ups and counting by myself and each took about 2 hours…keep in mind we go to do pick-ups every 2 hours which meant I did a pick-up, counted the money, went out and did the next pick-up a little after I was done, then it took another 2 hours to count that. 4 hours of fun! haha. Just kidding, it isn't that bad. But I think for our last pick-up Buni and I had it done in 45 minutes or so! take that. haha. Lets see, on the menu for dinner tonight was some chinese place in one of the buildings. I had me some sweet and sour pork and it was delicious…although very expensive this carnival food is. (and lucky for me buni and paul have been nice enough to pick up the bills, haha) Anywho, tonight got a…freezing. It wouldn't have been as bad if that dang wind wouldn't be blowin around so hard! And I almost, JUST ABOUT came on here to complain about me not being able to find my chapstick because I don't think my lips ever fully recovered from Banff, but tonight, phew, I needed it…anyway, right as I was moving my backpack to pick up my laptop it rolled on the floor…a bunkhouse miracle! haha ;) Ok um, well, I believe that is going to be all from me tonight…well, this morning. It is now 2:17, call time is 10. Did I mention it takes like, 20 minutes to walk to the office from the bunks -___- which, Claude and I were going to ride the golf cart back tonight but when we didn't see it by buni and pails we thought it was by one of the exits so we walked to the back and turns out, it wasn't there. So onto the long trek back to the bunks…which apparently claude was in a hurry to get to! haha. (and i'm pretty sure this way back was the long way (and that my way in the morning is shorter ;))) all of that to say my body is just a bit tired/sore at the moment. Gotta rest up for a big Saturday tomorrow. Until then...

Thursday July 7, 2011
Alright alright! Today was a wonderful day! The Stampede has officially started! The midway of course opened 6 hours earlier than posted (like it did in Winnipeg, so I don't know why I am surprised anymore, haha) So like normal opening day is hectic with getting things organized, in please, and ready to open. We have 8 games going this fair instead of 7 in Winnipeg as well as little tickets we collect other than many for the games and these little things called COSCO dollars, yet don't say that anywhere on them, just like, the stampede somethingrather…aaaanyway! haha So, needless to say, pick-ups and counting takes longer here than in Winnie. So, on to bigger and better news, tonight for dinner Buni and I ran over to this steak sandwich place…like a philly cheese steak with the nacho cheese cheese on top and sauteed onions…oh my gosh it was good. But the best part…they are good friends with the owners so we got it for free and went in the back and they talked/joked around for a while…he said come by anytime! ;) And then we went into the building with booths and whatnot, the first thing of course I see is Uncle Nick's cookies! Oh my. But we went in there to get these backpacks with the Calgary Stampede on them and filled with different goodies (like the stuff they put in the lunch boxes when you buy them…anyway, I just looked threw mine and I will be enjoying it the next couple of days! haha) But, one coupon he gave us was for this cookie place, I was like dang yea I want that! haha, Buni was like (get this) oh well you won't need that anyway, we can get them for free, we play Minnisota (or some other northern US state) with them. haha! Sooo, guess who will be getting home made cookies this week? This girl riiiight here :) So yea, the food topics alone today were just marvelous. One more item on the agenda for tonight was my little blogs name. I was just thinking last night how I might want to change the name. …i'm sure it might not have made sense to some people who have stumbled upon this blog and as to why it is entitled "Any Day Now" Well, I used to use this blog to update a new song everyday, kind of like what I was feeling or liking that day, and one of my all time favorite songs is by Missy Higgins and it is called Any Day Now, I could relate to what it was saying, and so it stuck (well, I did at first go back and forth between that and "If I'm Honest" which might have made for a more understandable title to a blog but, oh well, I digress) Anyway, since I am not blogging my songs now a days, I was thinking I might want to change it so something more…relevant to this summer. But here is/was my resistance, I would just feel terrible taking down a Missy Higgins lyric (I am mildly obsessed with lyrics) So as I was taking my shower I was thinking of some lyrics, or anything really, that would be good to change the name to. If you have watched the video I made of Banff, you have heard (and probably didn't realize it) a song called "Going North" by my good buddy Missy. This is also another one of my favorite songs and probably a bit more relevant this summer. So I was singing the song to myself when I realized the new title of my blog! well…the working title, it seems a but long right now that I go to type it out but, here it goes; "So goodbye for a while I'm off to explore every boundary and every door, yea i'm going north." Dang, that really is long, so maybe it will only be half of that or a quarter or something, haha. Anywho, now that I have written a mini novel and bored everyone half to death (anyone still out there?!) I guess I should hit the hay. It is now 2:11, but that isn't too bad, call time isn't till 10, the fair opens at 11. I'm expecting it to be another wonderful day. OH, I forgot something! The british are coming the british are coming!! Aparantly William and Kate either are here or are coming tomorrow. Well, I know I won't see them, but i think they are going to some rodeo thing and might partake in the little parade that goes around the fairgrounds. I'm not really one that follows the royal family all to much but, i still thought it was worth mentioning, haha. Ok noooow I guess I am done. Have a lovely day everyone! Until next time...

Wednesday July 6, 2011
Holy cow what a day. And I thought I had a great update coming back to the bunks at 10:30!…little did I know I would be actually getting back at 3, haha. Well, today was a wonderful day!! I was productive, and it was ice cream day and I am almost 100% certain you have already seen the ice cream day picture we did! it was awesome, haha. Anyway, got those bags made, had the picture at 2, and then back to doing office work I guess. Oh, but Piper (my room mate) showed up today. Anyway, so we got done kinda early, well, I guess not really because I left to come get my laundry at maybe a little before 6? Anyway, did my laundry, and Claude, Clifford and I then made a very long trek to go to Dairy Queen to get a Blizzard! Let me just tell you, that little mini blizzard (probably smaller than the snack size mcflurry) was 4.12!! It is dang expensive up here! Anyway, moving on. Best part of the night was I went into a Casino for the first time tonight!! I played myself some video blackjack and even profited .50 cents! haha. (I probably could have won more if we stayed longer….and later in my trip I am going to have to play me some slots!) So anyway, got back from that at around 10:30 or so and Sania, Nadia and Piper were just about to go out for a night on the town. Being as I am normally anti social and don't partake in what normal people my age do, I told them I would come along! haha. A lot of firsts tonights I would say. We first went to a bar/lounge (my first time being id'ed) but we didn't stay because it wasn't hoppin enough, haha! So we went to a club (another first) Now let me tell you, I know I am not a clubber and don't like that kind of stuff, but after tonight I can say for certain that that is not my scene to enjoy a night, haha. I mean, i enjoyed people watching and don't get me wrong it was a really fun night! But again, not my scene. So anyway, there was more walking around town and meeting people happening but since it is already 3:22 in the morning, I will just leave it at that. But it was a fun night and I'm glad I went for it was an experience…and one I probably wouldn't go out and initiate on my own. Well, tomorrow is opening day so, I should probably get my rest (although I really want to watch the pretty little liars I missed Tuesday because I don't know when I will have the chance to watch that again. (OH, Claude brought the wifi over to the bunk houses tonight!…so naturally I wasn't here all night, haha!) Ok, ok, I really am done now. Until tomorrow night...

Tuesday July 5, 2011
Well, I guess I kinda got a lot done today…most of it not carnival related, haha. I will say I was able to help out at the office making signs and laminating and whatnot, but then I got online, checked my mail and then had a list of things to do. I got an e-mail back from one…well, both of the companies about me interning. One said another guy would keep in touch and another said they wanted me to e-mail them back with my resume, cover letter and any demos I had. So I panicked a little because I don't have any videos that would be appropriate for professionals to watch, haha, but then I figured well, what do I care, I have nothing to lose. So I am sending them a link to my Grey's Anatomy fandom video I made, Hannah's school project and then the video I did of Michael jumping off the playground in Colorado. So I wrote a cover letter today for them and uploaded a few videos to youtube (one being the video I made of our trip to Banff!) OH, but, more school wise productive news, Buni had Microsoft Office 2004 so I installed that onto my mac, score! So I was able to type all that stuff up in Word. I also hadn't really wrote down my class schedule yet for the fall so I did that today…and boy am I realizing I really don't have a very good one! And I'm not so positive I will enjoy any of these classes : / oh well. I mean, it would be hard to try to beat last semesters classes! Although I could probably find a better suited internship for me (sorry Borman) so, at least I have that to look forward to, haha. Anyway, today was indeed NOT ice cream day, however it was celebrated back in Florida. I get why they celebrated it today, and I wasn't even there, but it was weird getting all the texts about ice cream day on the 5th! I didn't have any today…i mean, I wasn't supposed to, it is after all only the 5th, so I will be celebrating tomorrow. Anyway, I guess that's already more than anyone cares to read. It was a good day, got stuff done, went out to dinner at some chinese place and it was good…everyone in this family makes me laugh, i'm enjoying my time out here, I would say I am very pleased with my decision. Ok, ok, I said I was done. I guess i'll find some music or something to keep me occupied for the rest of the night. OH MY GOSH, mid sentence thought!! THE CASEY ANTHONY TRIAL. THAT is what happened today. um, I am just going to guess anyone that is reading this already knows my thoughts on the matter so, I will just leave it at that. Until tomorrow night…

Monday July 4, 2011
Well, there really is no update today so I will keep this short. Uh, the jury for the Casey Anthony case was deliberating today from 12:10-5:45 or so…haha. Yea, I got nothin. Still no room mate but I hear she is coming tomorrow? Although I must say I have been enjoying having this place to myself. My days are pretty chill until the fair actually starts (Thursday evening). I watched tv today and caught up on everything on the internet…even e-mailed 2 film production companies in nashville about an internship in the fall…although being out on the road with the carnival has really made me realize that there is where I want to be…on the road, traveling, so we'll see. On a completely different subject, although I am about 15 minutes from the office and can't even see the fairgrounds from our bunkhouse, I do like the setting here maybe a little better than Winnipeg. We are actually on pavement so my shoes aren't terribly dirty walking around, and they have really nice bathrooms and showers and even a washer and drier right here with all the bunkhouses, so i've been enjoying that. Anyway, thats about all i've got. I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th…I didn't celebrate, and neither did anyone around me…seeing as i'm in canada, haha! Okie doke, i'm sure tomorrow will be more of the same so, there you have it. I might try to upload the video i made of Banff to youtube so, keep your eyes peeled. Until then…

Sunday July 3, 2011
Ok so, I haven't added these to the blog site in a while but…this computer hasn't seen the internet since the last time I updated! Well, I'm guessing that also means people won't go back and reread my other posts cause it's more reading than anyone would care to do i'm sure (or at least on this blog, haha) but hopefully I will upload everything tomorrow. Well, I just got done editing the rest of my little movie I made with the pictures and videos I took from the trip to Banff. It is a little longer than anyone would probably want to watch (a little more than 8 minutes) but, oh well, I had fun making it and it is something I will always have to remind me of my trip! Well, iMovie is putting it all together right now and it said it has an estimated 2 hours remaining…joy, haha. So today, well, I got up and found my way to the office at 10. I cleaned that and got everything organized to almost how it was before the jump then went to Buni and Pauls place and watched some of the closing arguments for the Casey Anthony trial…dang, that is one crazy case…and that Jose Baez drives me nuts. So anyway, then Dale took Angela, Emily, Lindsey and I to some sushi place to eat then we went to the mall for a little while to hang out before we went to the movies! (I got a pair of shorts that were half off…if anyone was wondering, haha) So anyway, we went to see Transformers but it was sold out, however the 3D showing 40 minutes later was not so we got tickets to that one…which was $15.75 might I add! (That is one expensive movie, I thought it better be good!!) Well, it was good, although I don't think I would pay 15.75 to see it…I mean, $8 sure, maybe, but, that was a little steep. Aaaanyway, so we got back from that a little before 10, then came back and worked on the video and now we are all caught up! So I guess the plan for tomorrow is…run errands maybe? Well, I know Buni has to but, I guess I may or may not go with her, then do a little more arranging down at the office and maybe make some signs for the 10 stock trailers we have!! haha. So anyway, if my movie ever publishes I will post it on here for you lovely people [person/whoever/no one] if you wanted to watch 30 seconds or surprisingly enough the whole thing. I hope everyone has a great 4th!! Maybe someone will have some sparklers or fireworks to celebrate the 4th up here?! hmm, maybe. haha. I'll keep you posted; until then...
UPDATE- So, I just got back from going to the bathrooms and guess who is leaving the same time as I am? Yep, my friend Nathan. So I walk back to the bunk house with him and he said he was glad to be in Calgary…(with a smile on his face) And he has to get up at 5:18 cause he has a 6 o'clock call time…seriously?! haha. oh well. anyway, thought i should share.
